What is a Chi Motion Machine?
Chi motion machines are exercise machines that do most of the work for you. During use, the machines can stimulate nerves, expand capillaries, increase the oxygenation of blood, and activate cells. This respiratory oxygen process is a key to increased cell metabolism and improved health.

What is the best model chi motion machine for me?
After much deliberation I decided not to carry the most inexpensive chi motion machines. They were limited in range and weight capacity and had half the motor strength of the vitalizer/ energizer, evergain and chi flow machines. If you want a durable, variable speed chi motion machine with a commercial strength motor I recommend the vitalizer/ energizer. Prefer to upgrade? The chi Flow has an updated remote, and the Evergain has all of the bells and whistles you could want, including infrared heat and bio-magnetic therapy. You really cannot go wrong with any of the machines available here.

What are the benefits of far infrared therapy?
FIR Sauna heat offers ways to increase bodily energy, lose weight, decrease stress, detoxify the body and purify the skin while elevating the immune system to fight off everything from the common cold, asthma and bronchitis to serious life threatening illnesses such as cancer. Activated by heat, the FIR material emits FIR energy that is absorbed by human cells, causing a physical phenomenon called "resonance". Thus the cellular activities are instantly invigorated, resulting in a better blood circulation and an overall improved metabolism. The Far Infrared Sauna is exceptional for burning calories, controlling weight, and removing cellulite. Weight loss occurs because body fat becomes water soluble at 100 degrees Fahrenheit and the body can sweat out fats, toxins, and heavy metal that it otherwise can't dispose of. FIR Sauna heat therapy can also aid in weight loss by speeding up the metabolic process of vital organs and endocrine glands resulting in substantial caloric loss in a sauna heat session. Although weight loss due to perspiration (water loss) is quickly regained, sending more blood to the capillaries and converting fats and carbohydrates results in as much as 600 calories burned during one short sauna session. It also increases heart rate and blood circulation, both crucial to maintaining one's health. The heart rate increases as more blood flow is diverted from the inner organs towards the extremities of the skin without heightening blood pressure. Most patients who have attempted weight loss by many diets without success, will be pleased with their results from the FIR sauna. Often times, the inability to lose weight is associated with chemical toxicity. For injuries, heat stimulates vasodilatation of peripheral blood vessels, bringing oxygen to joints and extremities , speeding the healing of sprains and strains, thus relieving pain. The increased blood helps aching and injured muscles recover faster because the stronger the flow of blood, the quicker metabolic and toxic waste products are purged from the body, through the skin during perspiration. The skin is often known as the third kidney, because it is believed to be responsible for eliminating up to 30% of body waste. Having a FIR Sauna heat treatment before a massage helps prepare the user by creating an overall relaxing effect. It loosens the muscle tissue so the therapist can do a more thorough and effective massage. For that sought after healthy glow, FIR Sauna heat therapy allows increased blood circulation to carry great amounts of nutrients to the skin, thus promoting healthy tone and texture. A FIR Sauna heat bath also provides a mild cleansing of the skin. By creating an "Artificial Fever", FIR heat has a positive effect on the immune system. Often misunderstood, fever is a natural healing response of the body. The function of the immune system is increased naturally during a fever, while virus and bacterial growth is slowed, weakening its hold. This helps the body ward off invading organisms. A FIR heat treatment in the early stages of a cold or flu has been known to stop the disease before the symptoms occur. Further studies into the benefits of FIR heat therapy is creating a new avenue of hope for those suffering from life threatening diseases such as cancer, which explains why the majority of FIR Sauna heat clientele base is affiliated with the medical industry. Perhaps the most immediate relief the Far Infrared Heat offers is simple relaxation, as it melts away the stresses and tensions ofmodern life. Just a few minutes in the far infrared heat gives an overall massaging effect, soothing jangled nerves and knotted muscles. Your infrared sauna is excellent for increasing blood circulation to the skin, which is essential for beautiful, youthful, glowing skin. A new "inner Glow" as the skin is free of accumulated dirt and dry skin cells, due to deep cleansing of impurities! Help acne, eczema, psoriasis, burns and any skin lesions or cuts. Open wounds heal quicker with reduced scarring. Removes roughness, leaving skin baby smooth and soft again. Firms and improves skin tone and elasticity. Scars on Skin: Scars fully formed, even keloids, may be gradually softened. Burns and other wounds or incisions may heal with significantly reduced scarring. Effects on Rheumatoid Arthritis: The deep heat of Far Infrared Sauna helps peripheral blood vessels dilate, bringing relief and healing to muscle and soft tissue injuries. In Europe, radiant heat therapy is widely used to treat patients suffering form many forms of arthritis. It has proven effective in the treatment of sprains, neuralgia, bursitis, muscle spasms, joint stiffness and many other musculoskeletal ailments. For athletes who push their body's to the limit, creating lactic acid build-up, which often results in stiffness and pain, the Infrared sauna offers sweet relief as it gently metabolizes and disperses the lactic acid. Increased blood circulation carries off metabolic waste products and delivers oxygen-rich blood to oxygen-depleted muscles so they recover faster. Muscles relax most readily when tissues are warm, promoting greater flexibility and range of motion. Much of the stiffness, aches and soreness that come with aging is reduced or eliminated.

What is cupping therapy?
Cupping is an ancient Chinese therapy whereby a partial vacuum is created in cups placed on the skin either with heat or suction. When the cup is left in place on the skin for a few minutes, the treated area becomes red and localized healing takes place. Cupping has been found to affect the body up to four inches into the tissues, causing tissues to release toxins, activate the lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, activate the skin, clear stretch marks and improve varicose veins. "Cupping is the best deep tissue massage available." Cupping, the technique, is very useful and very safe and can be easily learned and incorporated by you and your family.

Which sauna should I buy?
The only difference between the portable saunas is external size. The large will be most comfortable for users weighing 160 pounds or less. My 180 pound neighbor uses my large sauna but he has a little difficulty getting in and out. There is also less room inside, and therefore less airflow, so he doesn't sweat as much. The chair in all four models has a capacity of 210 pounds. You can certainly use your own chair inside, if you do that I would recommend the extra large sauna to make sure you have enough room. You can also sit in an upright chair and have someone measure the space around you then compare it with the sauna demensions. Remember, your head will stick out of the top so in close quarters it is unlikely you will feel claustrophobic. The large sauna measures 38.5" tall 27" wide 32.5" deep. The extra large measures 40" tall 32.5" wide. 32.8 deep.
